What about Dream Oganic rice milk?
Dang so them Asians dying over there huh…?
The problem, Dr. Gregor is that the studies didn't state where the rice that produced the high levels of arsenic were grown.
Rice grown in fields that previously had cotton fields or have recieved their water derived from other fields that had chemical fertilizers that then fed back into the common streams and rivers are what has caused that rice to contain high levels of arsenic and there are ignorant companies possibly still selling that rice and other companies source the rice for their rice milks and rice syrup from that same rice.
But please don't paint all rice producers from the same brush.
Lundberg Family Farms has grown rice in untainted fields of soil and using water derived from no chemical fertilized fields for generations and those arsenic also in a chemical foound naturally in very minute amounts in rice and other foods the rice grown by Lundberg has been independently analysed and found to contain very safe levels of the chemical.
Very informative. What about arsenic in Asian rice noodles?
Rice milk is very healthy
I did a hair analysis on my 15 year old son, it showed a significant amount of arsenic. He has been drinking rice milk for 10 years. He switched to coconut. Going to do another test in a couple months.
Listen to the stupid amount of these substances these people are having. It's insane. I mean seriously!? 12 Cups!? Really!? Come on people. You don't have anything to worry about when consuming these products in moderation. And keep an eye out for the rice that has fake plastic rice in it. Reports of this fake rice recently have been on a rise.
3:44 wow I guess people are not meant to ear cereal, bc all kinds of milk are apparently bad for you
All this poison in rice no wonder all the asains only live to 40,what a load of shit if you believe that your a fucking idiot
….greaaaatt the only milk i've liked since getting off dairy and its still bad for me…..
Just recently found out that I'm allergic to almonds and soy. I had been drinking coconut milk until Dr. Greger's video on its effects on cholesterol (and I'm trying to lower mine). Also had been drinking rice milk from Trader Joe's until this video. Guess I'm on the hunt for oat and/or hemp milk. Anyone have any suggestions?!
I'm so confounded as to why the literature hasn't revealed that soy actually must somehow create hormonal abnormalities in men in large quantities. It's said that only one older man was found to have ED but when I was drinking lots of soy milk and lots of soy protein powder it was the first and only time I ever experienced ED in my life. When I quit the ED disappeared. A friend as well grew man boobs drinking too much soy. We're only two anecdotal cases but I just have a strong sense that there is a link despite the literature. My guess is that there is something hormonally disrupting in soy protein isolates and not whole soy though the research refutes it. Maybe It's only our unique biochemistries that didn't do well with it. Personally I'll stick with almond, oat or cashew milk regardless.
I thought soy spiked igf-1
yey to soy milk!
What about hemp milk? Wouldn't that be better that soy and oats?
potato milk? somehow i had never heard of that before lol
Wow, scary stuff! People have been telling me for years to ditch the pasta and eat more rice. My problem is that I love pasta and rice not so much, so I've been eating a lot of whole grain organic pasta and not much rice. Always felt bad about that, until now. I live in Europe and we have a lot of rice coming from India here and when I do buy rice I tend to buy organic Basmati, because I like the taste and smell of it. People have often told me it's silly to buy organic rice that costs twice as much as regular rice, but I guess if you want arsenic-free food, it might be worth the extra money (duh!). Also, as a vegan with knee problems for 25+ years from an old injury, I've often been told that I'm being risky, that I should drink milk for the calcium, etc. I drink a lot of oat milk and almond milk, so I think I'll just keep doing that too haha. Awesome news; the next smart ass that comes at me about calcium is being sent a link to this video! đŸ˜€
What healthy and easy to cook carbohydrates are left now? I was always under the impression that rice was the best but now rice is a bit toxic, wheat doesnt have nutrients, other stuff has pesticides and the more exotic ones are really expensive or take 45min+ to cook.
Thank you for all your videos. I've been making progress as far healthy eating. I still eat meat and dairy on a rare occasion, but most of my calories come from whole foods like rice beans sweet potatoes and veggies.
dang, had for 2 years 1/2 Litre of rice milk every day.
Hello Dr. Gregor. Could you please make a video based on Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTb) and Mantoux test (Tuberculosis Sensitivity Treatment, TST)? Any chance that 1st Mantoux test provoke the 2nd Mantoux test to be false positive? Let's say all the so-called conventional treatment (allopathic medication) has been done and to be believed that all the MTb die, will I get the 3rd Mantoux positive again? Tuberculosis is on the rise in Malaysia… P.S. I'm kinda stuck in this bullshit condition…
Hello Dr. Gregor. Could you please made a video based on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mantoux test? It's on the rise in Malaysia over here… P.S. I'm kinda 'trapped' in these condition… hopefully they won't force to take so much of allopathic drugs…
Sh#% I just went to the market and bought brown rice and almond milk.
GREGER IS A SHILL FOR BIG SOY! say meater trolls in the comments[I'm guessing] TFP, NF!
This channel is so helpful I am very grateful
But this is my favorite milk for years!!
Hello, I also stumbled onto another guy who also talks about Fasting, Nutrition and other stuff… Check out –>> Scott The Truck
Driver Fasting on YouTube. A warning, Scott swears throughout his videos but he does get his point
across of what he's talking about on Fasting and Nutrition. He is down to earth and funny though… I like your YouTube Channel. Thank you… Chris
Thanks for info!
I've noticed the you reference Consumer Reports these days. In years past, the magazine left health matters to their "expert" panel (a group of dumb MD's), and I frequently chided them for the practice. Recently, though, they have found other sources for information, and seem to be providing better guidance.
How to make healthy baby food, is the question. Make sweet potato formula?
So which milk is the most optimal and beneficial?
Hi Dr Gregor, just wondering if you can touch upon why Adrenal Fatigue is not considered a valid condition in the medical community? what are your views on it and how can we treat fatigue?
I'm glad I'm a potato man!
What is arsenic
What if we were tested for soy, dairy and gluten from a integrative doctor and i can't have all three? My doctor never explained why i can't have soy but she said it will help my auto immune flares and my debilitating inflammation. . But I'm at high risk for celiac disease so i cut out all three.
What about all the gluten free breads, pizza and snacks that use brown rice flour as their ingredient?
Hmm, this is getting to manipulative for me – so rice milk is not nutritious……… because of one case study. But then you give no comparison with another case – only soy milk, only cashew milk diet etc. How is this accurate? Where is the context? There is similar cherry picking to calorie restriction vegan diet from which people have severe health problems and claim veganism to be bad, but the real cause was calorie restriction whatever on traditional, vegan or other diets – you will always getting problems.
And you say rice milk have not so many calories, but in the table you showed soy milk had less or equal calories to rice, in fact oat milk the same, hemp – less. wtf? We are not blind or dumb!
If this is for vegan activism – it has a poor design which throw a negative shadow to all "pro vegan" science findings, if this is for science – it is manipulative and not correct.
What about rice starch?
I am so glad I don't consume rice milk. It's hard bc I cannot consume gluten though. I was so happy to buy rice products (rice crackers, rice pasta, rice wraps, etc) as an alternative but I need to seek another choice. I made some Banza (chickpea based pasta) today instead and it was delicious.
