Hi Guys,
Luckily i have just found you guys loving your enthusiasm and so looking forward to getting into calisthenics.
im 44 and never done calisthenics before. I have always done triathlons and marathons etc. But slowing down now and want to start building myself a bit.
what is the first thing i should be doing to start the calisthenics journey? i have downloaded your beginners guide.
Do you know what I like about you guys. You seem to know all the theory (or most of it) but aren't afraid to admit that you don't put it into practice and are still on your own journey with Calisthenics. Anyway, where do you stand on chiropractic practice? Stephen Dragon
Guilty as charged of falling into the protein marketing trap. However I do find them useful to top up. I seem to find a slightly higher amount 160g / day helps me stay a bit leaner, maybe thermogenic effect. (I'm 70kg 12.5%) I find them useful for recipes too as a lot of whole food recipes are predominantly fat and carbs from nuts and dates
Cheers boys. Jacko my elbow is exactly the same injury as yours (diagnosed by physio) connector tissue on the tip of elbow from tricep. Had to deload was originally told 2weeks but took really about 6-8 to settle down enough to train properly. Foam roller on the tricep and plenty of massage helped. I've added in a specific stretching / mobility session into my program along with doing 15mins worth of stretching / massage most nights regardless of training for the day. Has been doing good things. Loved the banter about the shoulder twinge, been there there exactly. I did a grade3 separation of my ACL playing rugby in my 20s too. You fellas are gunna be very good for my training having such similar back grounds. Keep up the great vids. Thanks again
