Just my 2 cents but biochar requires burning (destruction) of living carbon (ie trees mainly) whereas the natural way to create carbon rich soil is to encourage/foster the soil microbiome that produces the glues like glomalin that create carbon loaded, durable soil aggregates called humus with the input coming, not from living carbon sources, but mainly from the sugars that are created through the process of photosynthesis and then shared with the soil microbiome through plant root exudates.
Broad range of topics covered. Such a unique journey Mark has while pursuing self sufficiency. Really enjoyed learning about his experiences in the jungle.
