Amazingly Amazing Video, Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for taking the time to study this and share.
well your salivary glands are surely working well
I think it speaks volumes about the information avalible to sick pregnant women when this video intended for medical students has more commentary from sick pregnant women than students. Part of whats so frustrating is being trapped in bed all day, trying to research whats happening to you and your baby, and coming up so short on information.
Thank you for the hard work put into this video. It really is nice getting some legitimate medical information, not just swapping stories with other HG patients trying to figure it out together.
Hyperemesis Gravidarum causes PTSD , PPD , PPA , you don't get Hyperemesis Gravidarum because you already have a mental illness
We need to talk I totally disagree with some of your "findings " just as this is psychiatric , this is so false go watch some of my videos and get educated ! I will comment again once I watch the rest of this
I am an HG mom, I've had it with this now my six pregnant, nothing works but zofran, I take it every six hours and it barely gets me by. No one understands what it's like .. it's hard
What helped me to relieve from HG that was driving me nuts out was an herbal tea made of lemon, lemon peels, and chamomile. It was no to morning sickness tea.
Like your husbands. clap clap clap clap You mister just made my day.
The weird thing about this for me is that it runs in my family on my moms side I lost too much weight during my first trimester and they told me I had to gain weight I hadn't had anything to eat or drink that didn't just come right back up for weeks it was terrible
All the medications he mentioned never helped with my HG symptoms. All three pregnancy result in HG. The only method that worked was invasive treatments. ..Zofran pump helped a great deal. Ginger, acupucture, crackers, etc doesn't do anything. This condition is the worse thing I have ever experienced and wouldn't wish it for my worse enemy
I would like to know why some women get this and some do not?
Thanks Jen! It is important for us to get feedback from patients who have experience with what we are trying to treat! Best wishes.
i know this video is for medical students or some one in the field and is mostly a generic overview, but i had HG with all 3 of mine for me each pregnancy was worse the older i got the harder it was to bounce back, and fight being sick my last is my son and that was the worst. so for me it wasn't the gender of the baby that made any difference. if your a student just remember every case is different
good video , thanks
Answer: D. HG is intractable vomiting in pregnancy. Early signs of the disorder include weight loss and ketonuria. Electrolyte imbalances can be present as vomiting leads to potassium loss (and hypochloremic metabolic alkalosis). The hypokalemia is significant and potassium depletion is further evidenced by ECG changes such as inverted T waves and prolonged PR and QT intervals (late finding), Thus treatment with IVF, electrolytes, sedation, rest, vitamins, and antiemetics may be required.
A 23 year old G2P1001 at 9 weeks gestation c/o nausea and vomiting over the past 2 weeks that is occurring on a daily basis and was not present before her pregnancy. Although nausea and vomiting are common symptoms in early pregnancy, which of the following signs or symptoms suggest a more serious diagnosis such as hyperemesis gravidarum?
A. Hypothyroidism
B. Weight gain
C. Proteinuria
D. Hypokalemia
