I’m confused, too. Algae is a plant. I think the omega 3 it has is ALA, like other plants. Why is it more preformed? At any rate, I think we convert better than non-vegans, but still may be good to supplement, especially if we consume a lot of omega 6.
I'm not sure if it would need to be researched, but I'm curious about omega 3 on a vegan diet. I take E3 Algae supplement. Is that good enough (it's a green liquid with various nutrients in it), or should we take algae oil pills?

I'm gonna have to disagree with the doc on this. Intuitively i sense that algae oil is healthy for heart, and my heart skips with joy when I take it.
EPA is for brain, not DHA, plus mercury in fish oil is responsible for memory loss in the long term
