Lamb is babies
At 7:26 in the video, the highlighted study says "wild meats in particular" should be avoided. I would like to know why that is, since they are not being fed recycled waste, etc. I could not find a link to the study in the list for this video on NF website.
Wow! That's a whole lot of really scary sounding stuff. Really scary. Guess I'll die happy though.
This motivated me to start a 3-months-plant-based challenge today. (I'm already vegetarian but cheese, eggs and all kinds of chocolates had a chokehold on me … until now)
I get sick and on plant based and do much better semi veg.
Nobel prize for Dr. Greger. This man is such a gift to us all!
So the main take away from this is stop eating trash level meat and you'll be fine, already knew that but thanks for the breakdown!
WFPB makes a lot of sense for many reasons, which the keto community often overlooks as they focus solely on the sugar aspect.
How about microplastics? Are vegans also at an advantage for these?
Another caveat: some plants like sunflowers accumulate heavy metals naturally occurring in souls, and rice grown in previous cotton fields in the south contain arsenic from the boll weevil poison used years ago.
Grass fed animals are fine
Veg and fruit is full of pesticides, chose your poison
Who could've guessed that feeding animal waste back to animals wasn't a very bright idea????
Dietary detox to me, is eating seldom and vegan, with lots of water inbetween. Meaning I eat during an 4 hour window. And I usually eat a starch (pasta or rice, with potatoes), cooked in home made vegetable broth from as many different vegetables that are in season / available. No oil.l Though I do cheat days weekly and excercise maybe twice a week, plus I eat chips and nuts after my meal. But I'm losing fat & detoxing for sure!
Best detox is don't eat these fruit and vegetables…

Very convincing but the Finnish guidelines for eating seeds is max 2 tablespoons per day due to heavy metals. Confusing.
I saw this doctor at Outback Steakhouse yesterday and he wasn't eating salad and beans!!!
the best detox, in my humble opinion, is to avoid consuming toxins in the first place. you know, the ones that want to kill you.
How much heavy metals do vegans ingest compared to omnivores for example?
I wish I could send this to all my meat, chicken, and fish eating friends and relatives. But I know they would just get pissed off at me. As if it’s my fault that they are full of toxins.
Love me some Oxalates for dinner, family member, lifelong vegan just had a knee replacement. Obviously plant based was not for her.
Thank you!
Always the same conclusion……..WFPB……going to hell on anything less, apparently.
Why never mention in any if your videos the benefits of Pycnogenol??
I have a grand child of 8 months and the mother was told that the child will need meat. But if the organically grown meat is almost as high polluted as the usual, that makes me think, that it would be better to omit meat. I think the child would need a little B12 then. But it‘s not my decision.
Yes, but what about glyphosate affecting plant eaters?
So what about sweet potatoes from the USA …? The soil is burned and than sprayed with a very famous weed killer …that prohibit new weed to grow and they sprayed it onto the soil before planting the sweet potato newlings into that same soil.
If you are afraid about being poisoned…. please search for the proof of how much of that famous weed killer is still in sweet potatoes ….. But i guess you are too afraid from the big farming industry .
This is one of the last vegans telling fibs. The vast majority of vegan doctors have disappeared into the woodwork or died off now. They're long gone. It's only religious nutters like this still going.
Great video Michael! Yet another great reason to go plant based.
“Welcome to our TED Tox”
My statement on vegan diet remains the same: Your brain is made of 60% Animal fat, 20% Cholesterol, which you cannot get from vegetables. That is of course 80% total and the rest is nerves and water and veins etc. Don't starve your brain. Cholesterol has never been the cause of heart disease, we do make some ourselves and our body doesn't manufacture cholesterol to kill us.
Of course, animals have filters just as we do. We and they filter out the stuff that *for the most part are bad for them. Plants draw it all up and keep it for you to consume. You have no choice.
Smug phrasing at the end of the video and clickbait title really only panders to your audience and does little to break through to the people you want to reach. Diet is so hard to discuss without challenging someone’s personal identity. Despite my criticism, I found the video informative and eye opening.
