Great, but I'm allergic to soy. BTW this only developed after age 60.
BTW it has occurred to me that GMO technology could be a way around some food allergies. Plants could be developed that express different proteins that don't provoke an allergic response. I've not seen this question considered anywhere yet.
YOU VILL DRINK YOUR SOY MILK!!!!
Why does pretty much every elementary school in America provide kids with cow's milk instead of soy milk (or another plant-based milk option)?
Soy milk is just regular milk introducing itself in Spanish.
You impart valuable information, although the tone of your voice is very annoying.
I respect Dr. Gregory because he backs his claims with science…but most doctors have the nutritional knowledge of a doorknob.
I used to respect you a lot; thank you for the good health info. In these past 5 years though you have become a false prophet mostly. the peak of your fake news is when you said meat substitutes are very good for the environment. #PaidMouthpiece
Maybe you can do a video about the link between skim milk and Parkinsons disease
Seems like Canada is far ahead of the United States regarding dairy; especially considering the US agencies using the dairy industries studies as legitimate science! Canada is no longer going to be biased by the dairy industry funded studies in trying to sell more of their own products…

I'm curious about soy milk and soy yogurt – the kind that are completely unsweetened/unflavored and have no maltodextrin, etc – very unprocessed. Do these count as a serving of beans? Say, if I had a morning bowl of berries, banana, and soy yogurt, did I get one serving of beans in?
So if I'm hearing this correctly, milk is bad because it's good for white people. Got it.
Wow. I can't even get through a nutritional video without hearing someone complaining about white people.
I can't help but wonder though – it is generally said that diets should be diverse. And studies often focus on soy milk, on a broad range of people (i.e. non-vegans).
So I'm not sure that for a vegan, who already eats tofu on most days and other soy-based products here and there, it is ideal to ALSO consume soy milk on a daily basis.
(At the moment, I use oat milk for my porridge and this video initially made me wonder whether I should switch to soy. But because of the thoughts above, I'm not sure.)
Why do all soy milk producers use crap seed oils?
I cycled through different plant miljs and ended back on soy milk. I think i had to get used to the taste and I've also changed how i use milk. I also buy pea protein, ripple, because my kids prefer that one. I do think it tastes the most like dairy milk.
Could you do a video about the effects of soy on thyroid? My understanding is that non fermented soy products have a negative effect on your thyroid, esp if you have a thyroid disease.
Soy and Hemp are my favorites
Soy is the worse poison
Drink only raw milk (cows, goat, sheep ) , its the only healthy option. Period.
The simple idea that milk is for babies – and just for baby cows – is why I stopped eating dairy. If I was weened off my mother’s milk then why in the world would I continue to drink milk from another animal?
I made soy milk for the first time. I’m drinking it for post menopausal bone health.
Bravo, Canada!
If I’m drinking 1- 1/12 cups of unsweetened soy milk a day and 1 cup has 2.5 mcg of B12, (that’s the daily requirement)…is that sufficient? Is my body absorbing enough? I can’t take supplements but I want to be 100% plantbased again, but worry about b12. Thanks for any help!
❤ Thank you
In light of fava bean favism and slow coffee metabolizers? Can soybeans be bad for some people for the same reason? If one is having side effects such as constipation do you even get the benefits of the protective effects? How would one find out? Are there alternative foods that offer protective effects against reproductive cancer, such as breast, ovarian, uterine, cancer, and osteoporosis?
Soy milk caused severe constipation when I first started. So did ground flaxseed and Lavella. Does this have to do with the fact that they are all phytoestrogens? Could having all three in my diet explain why I continue to have moderate constipation?
It’s not, it’s quite disgusting
I'm Irish according to my DNA with a modicum of Scandinavian ancestry. I've been drinking milk all my life (74 years old); I love it and I've heard that if one stops drinking it for some amount of time, one loses the ability to digest it. Is that the connection with lactose you refer to? Lactose which you seem to be claiming that NO ONE can digest. And also, since lactose is a sugar, there is no need to be concerned about the sugar content of milk? Milk does taste sweet and I like that. I've tasted human breast milk and that is far sweeter than cow's milk. Enquiring minds want to know these things.
So what about "soy beverage" with a ton of additives. These are all we see in the markets lately. Not refrigerated and in no way similar to the fresh soy milk available even in vending machines in Japan.
good
What about the leucine in soy, won't it activate mTOR?
Informative video
I was waiting for your comments on our Canada's food guide and here it is! Thanks for reviewing it briefly. The dairy farmers in Canada are still quite upset about this change. This new food guide even became a political stake during the last federal elections as the conservatives were promising the dairy industry to redo the food guide to include dairy as a food group again.
Lactose is my favorite laxative.
Soy is not good for the thyroid. Dr. Greger has another video on eating soy and the anti nutrients attacking thyroid function, I love soy, and I take extra iodine. I hope that works.
Non-organic soy products are GMO & should be avoided….otherwise this doctor is a hack & has been debunked by many professionals….he is famous for cherry picking info out of context.
Frick all these supplement slurry concoctions. It's all junk.
donkey
I only consume yogurt and kefir, sugar free. Am I doing the right thing?
Thank you so much for this <3
So does that mean everything about soy was from tampered studies? I avoided soy milk and soy products after I found out it can influence hormones. Is this not true? I'd like to try soy milk/yogurt but I'm concerned about that if anyone can answer.
