Great interview!
Thank you SO very much for this in depth and very thorough interview. I am grateful for the information you provide to all of us and just how thorough it always is!
If you happen to have found this information in your research (and if not, if you might consider adding this to your list of questions for a potential additional interview) I am very curious about dehydration that might be CAUSED by the Nira laser… especially under and around the eye area? I feel like my eye crepiness looked much worse and may have been due to dehydration. Additionally, does he recommend reducing or stopping actives, like tretinoin, Vitamin C, or exfoliating acids while using Nira? Because the Nira should be used daily, how might we incorporate both the laser and actives in a way that does not go past our skin's tolerance, and simply cause problems with our skin barrier. Thank you again for all that you do to keep things truly honest in this very confusing, and sometimes misleading, industry. ❤
I just recently subscribed to your channel and enjoy your research and honest feedback on products and skincare ❤
made my eyes worse after 3 months
Very helpful and good questions. My Nira is on the way and I'm excited to try it ❤
Hi, does it work on skars as well?
Can I use the Nira Pro around my eyes and brow area or will it be too big?
In the before and after pictures, the after is always lighter un color or they use more illumination. I think they do that to trick the brain so we automatically have a better reaction to the second picture.
Great interview
We needed it
Thank you
Excellent interview. I purchased the Nira Pro as the result of this unbiased conversation.
Where are your clinical studies? Are they accessible to the public? Clinical studies can be a group of people you selected to try it. This is different from Clinical Trials where it an external trial not run by the company. Please do not dupe the public into thinking that you have run actual trials. Please be transparent about what your clinical studies actually are!
I have been using the Nira Pro since 4/12/2024 and today is 5/22/2024. I do use very good skin care products and a few other modalities*, but in 5 weeks I've been MOST impressed with the Nira. I have completely turned around my puffy hooded eyes as well as lifted my brow area and my extremely crepey neck skin is 80% better than day one. I'm only 5 and a half weeks in. I am 64 years old, 4 years post menopause. I am astounded!
*other modalities include Recovery Purelift Pro + (two treatments in last 5 weeks), RED and NIR Light Therapy Mask along with Neck/Chest and Dr. Pen M8 (one treatment about 4 weeks ago, face only, no eye or neck). I do believe these other modalities do play a role, however the lift in my eyes and hooding is all Nira!
I just watched this vid on tv. I didn’t catch whether or not you can or should use the Nira laser more than once a day?
Great information thank you! I wonder if it safe we dental implants?
Could routine use of the Nira decrease sebum production in the skin? Will it affect hair growth, like eyebrows over time?
I just received mine and am concerned about brow loss and dry skin.
After seeing this interview, I'm glad I bought it. I can't wait to see if it helps!❤
I think this “honest interview” is more dangerous that a garden variety influencer’s praise with before and after photos and a traditional discount code in the info box. Why? Because you are kind of skeptical and do not push it and ask all those “hard” questions providing the owner of the device a perfect podium for tooting his own horn. This sells even better! But unfortunately, neither you nor most of your viewers have any ability to evaluate or question most of the statements the interviewee makes. You have to take on faith all the science he references and all the statements about the device’s efficiency and validity of the results. You wouldn’t expect the brand to tell you that their $450-$600 devices do not work if it were the case, would you?
Speaking of prices. Usually brands lower prices of their older models when they release an improved one. And with this new Pro, it’s clear that it is an improved one. But instead, in a year, Nira raised the price of their original device from $399 to $450. Of course the owner will be telling how much it improves everything (but the “smoker lines” – nice touch, sounds very honest!).
I’ve been using Nira for probably over a year. Does it work? I have no idea, I’m using so many tools and skincare products that it’s hard to attribute any progress to any particular tool or product. I plan to keep using it until it breaks, and I have no complaints about it (no praises either). But I would have preferred to hear an interview with someone knowledgeable in this area who doesn’t have any stake in the success of these devices.
I just ordered the Nira and will definitely take before and after pics. It’s easier to doubt the results when you see yourself every day.
One of the reasons I chose to order the device is the money back guarantee. The fact they offer this sells me on my investment. If I am someone who does not get good results I’ll send it back. No loss to me♥️
I’m wondering if the Nira pro would be effective enough for the eye area or do I need the precision for that? I’m thinking about buying the pro but wondering if it’s enough for everything? Thank you
Did i miss it.. is it usable just around eye orbital or can you get a bit closer
Thanks so much! I had some point cleared ❤
Fabulous interview! THANK YOU!! I was skeptical, but it does work. I'm going on 3 months!
I'm very excited to continue!!
Great interview however you did not cover and ask specific questions related to the use of Nira on darker skin tones.???
very interesting Clare, thank you. I'm pretty close to taking the leap to buy one and this video has really helped. I'd love an idea of how you fit nuface into your routine now that you use this? I know you moved away from daily use of microcurrent; my concern is that LED mask, nuface and NIRA could be too much? I have moved to alternate night retinol with maysama serum. I'm nearly 47 with pretty good skin, fine lines ++ at my eyes and lots of hyperpigmentation from my running days (when I wore no SPF as it stung my eyes – the horror!). Looking to prevent what I can with good skincare and devices. Thanks.
Another in the list of interesting videos. Thanks so much! and I almost didn't watch it because I'm not currently interested in the NIRA (either model). Glad I did.
Re: Nira itself: I tried the Nira Precision last year but found it too drying. By the end of the trial period, it hadn't done anything noticeable for the skin around my eyes except dry it out more. The company's staff tried to help, but their suggestions didn't work for me. The one they didn't make was to go back to level 1 and see whether that helped! In the end, I regretfully returned it.
The little laser did, however, seem to be working on the lines around my mouth, including my smokers lines (I don't know where they came from; I never smoked and don't use straws). The company's staff was helpful and supportive and they were great about the refund. So my experience in dealing with them was good, and I wouldn't hesitate to try again with a different sort of product.
Great video Clare, as I am considering buying the Nira Pro, but had been put off by some negative feedback. Also, I've been subscribed to your channel over the past year, and I've really noticed a great improvement in your own skin. It would be good if you could do another video talking about what skincare and devices you have stuck with to get the results you have. Thanks
I had the small head Nira and I must admit I could never go past 2, but when I started hearing about the larger heads and how quick the treatment could be I bit the bullet and purchased the new one. I must say that the difference for me has made it worth the investment. It is quick and I am finished with the treatment moving on to the rest of the products I am using. This was very interesting and I was relieved that I didn’t make a mistake when I purchased the newer device. Thank you for having him to answer all these questions and understanding how it worked!
I am also curious if the company has been able to identify a pattern among clients for whom the Nira laser does not work. Of course, I’m curious if it might be associated with any specific autoimmune conditions, age, degree of damage, or wrinkles, gender, ethnicity. Because they do research on their product effectiveness, I would think they would have at least some limited general data regarding who the product works best for, so-so far, and doesn’t work for.
Your journalism skills are so appreciated, you do excellent work!

Hi Clare – I love your channel, I’m 52 years old and I feel like you do my skincare and general wellness research for me! ❤️
I am curious if the Nira laser is appropriate for people with autoimmune conditions. I have a couple of autoimmune conditions that have taken a toll on my skin health as well as my overall health. I’ve learned the hard way that some of the skin procedures are not appropriate for people with autoimmune conditions. However, this is never addressed by professionals promoting products or procedures. They should always include conditions that the product is not appropriate for.
I think the Nira might be okay for the many of us with autoimmune conditions because it is not as intense as in-office procedures. I would be very interested to hear the creators opinion on this whenever he returns for an additional interview.
I feel like you’re dancing around the question of the before and after pictures Nira post on their website. The lighting is remarkably different with the before pictures being much darker and the after pictures being much lighter. So many influencers will say they didn’t see much of a difference, but they would still recommend it anyway. But of course, they would say that because they’re getting paid to say that.
I've used Nira for 3 months now (I'm 52). I am very happy with the results, and would like to express gratitude to David and the company for creating such great product, as it made a very observable difference for me. Much like for the previous reviewer, my overall skin tone has become much brighter, skin firmer, fine lines and wrinkles diminished. I had darker circles around my eyes, and they are much brighter (though not entirely gone). In my experience, improvements were noticeable within the first few weeks. My husband commented that my skin looks very bright and good (he did not know I was doing this treatment). The fine lines around my eyes did not disappear but became less pronounced. I intend to use it ongoing, maybe with lesser frequency. I used it once to twice a day on a clean skin for 3 months, as recommended, going from level 1 to level 5 eventually. It occasionally stings on level 5, but I love the results, and how my skin feels after the treatment. An excellent product!
I have just used the Nira Pro for 3 months. I took extensive photographs before I started. In harsh light, no makeup. I did not see many results for the first two months, in fact for 2.5 months, and was planning to return it. But when I took new photos a few days before the 90-day return period was up – I was stunned. The results are dramatic. Not so much removing wrinkles per se, but clearer and brighter skin, reduction of pores, my entire face is nicely plumped up and youthful. I showed the photos to my husband, a photographer, and he was also shocked. So . . . I'm keeping it. WOW. So impressed that I'm also going to try the Precision around my eyes. This interview was brilliant and put some long-term concerns of mine to rest. Thank you so much!
Thank you SO MUCH for this interview! It resolved alot of questions I had in scientific language made easy to understand! Definitely keeping my Nira after listening to this!
This was so great, thank you for the great interview. I am impressed with the brand and am so glad to hear him speak on these things. Appreciate your thoroughness!
I was very interested in what he would say about dehydrated skin use and it was totally the opposite of what I was doing to try to get results. So I will try again using a LOWER setting to get to the water in my skin. Counterintuitive to the’more is more’ approach. Thank for a great interview , Ms. Johnston!
Well if you are using it there is no noticeable difference in your skin.
