Nice setup and some great points. Never thought of painters tape. I use a Kurt Kinetic trainer. Very basic but works. Use Bike the World for videos. They have some good ones. Thanks for the video and take care, Al
If you use rollers, tape cardboard fan blades onto the front wheel. It helps cool you and adds a bit of resistance. I made mine just a bit wider than the tire to direct the air around it.

You touched on an important point that often gets forgotten or overlooked (inc. by me), that of the need to maintain nutrition and hydration while on the trainer. The body still needs fuel!
