I commented a while back that my Estrogen level was extremely high. I found out about something besides this as well and it is called DIM. It's organic and natural derived from Broccoli. I took one daily and when I went back in 30 days my level was completely normal. It's a regulator I recommend you research and hope it helps.
I would be really grateful if the topic regarding conjugated estrogen CREAMS (applied directly on breasts) and their potential link to breast cancer could be addressed. Although I have posted the same question in other channels before, I am yet to recieve interpretations. Can topical application on breasts really trigger breast cancer? I understand that it can cause breast tenderness albeit. I keep hearing about this potential breast cancer scare, but the teams fail to provide evidence. It would be so helpful to delve into the topic…
I just had a test come back with high estrogen level and I am post menopausal. My doctor asked if I was consuming a lot of soy. This is contrary to anything I've seen before. Is it not true that it also depends on the form and type of soy? GMO soy is sprayed with roundup, a known hormone disruptor. The Japanese mainly eat fermented soy.
No wonder they don't recommend SOY products. Because it'll stop BREAST CANCER That means less money for the medical industry
I am a 52 year old women who recently had stage 1 estrogen driven breast tumor removed by lumpectomy. My margins are clean and cancer has not moved to lymph nodes. I have no doubt that my diet and lifestyle choices in my past did nothing to deter my cancer from progressing. Are there studies out there that have looked at the effects of treating women (with my cancer type) without radiation, without estrogen blockers but with an estrogen blocking diet and lifestyle? Just curious.
Can you please address vaginal estrogen and it’s safety…

Well crap! My breast cancer loves to eat estrogen so I am doing everything I can do avoid it – especially not consuming soy in any form per my oncologist from Johns Hopkins.
Amazing video, thanks a lot
What was the daily serving of soy milk? How much should we consume?
If you are allergic to soy, what can be eaten to have the same effect?
wondering how to choose a good soy milk for this purpose…anyone?
great video, not easy to see how much this may help someone going through breast cancer fight.
ha ha …so awesome…
I have my concerns about soy because of GMO soy is filled with cancerogenic roundup pesticide and even glyphosate genes and also because the GMO soy industry has been blocking labeling so consumers cannot decide to consume non GMO soy
Do you think birth control pills can cause cancer?
Today I saw an old french lady buy Soy Milk. (the vegan movement hasn't made it's way to France quite yet)
This happened in Germany, in Germany we have options if you are lactose intolerant and those were right next to it, but she clearly went for the soy and it wasn't the first time.
It made me happy and full of hope.
Fantastic video!!!
Sorry Doc. but soy products are not healthy. It is not wise to isolate tiny healthy aspects of an otherwise unhealthy thing. You can find healthy aspects of alcohol, sugar, tobacco and even highly processed foods if you dig long and deep enough.
Soy is amazing! If I could I would marry it <3
Can we get a video on baobab?
How much soy milk were they drinking?
take that soy bashers
I don't eat soy. What other options would work in a similar way?
Isn't estrogen protective against heart disease though?
Wow, interesting to hear that the truth is so contrary to the public opinion that soy causes breast cancer.
Thank you Doctor for helping to spread the truth
fyi only green soy or edamame not brown soy or commercial soy.
Another great video in favor of soy! Soy is good for you. The evidence is there in the research studies and in the health of millions of Asians that for decades have consumed this legume and are healthier than us! I wonder if they worry so much as we do about this plant…..
I feel like this is good news for men and breast cancer patients but considering how beneficial estrogen is in healthy women, is it really good for them to have their levels lowered?
What is DR. Greger's opinion on plant-based protein powders for post strength workouts drinks? Do we really need to up our protein intake to build muscle mass?
Huge respect to people who do research
Soy is like 90% GMO, watch out
I like eating dry roasted edemame to up my protein intake (50 grams of protein per 100 grams of edemame). Does anyone know if roasting the beans destroys any micronutrients?
Benefits of soy is greater for women with early childhood soy consumption. One of the fist foods that Japanese babies are introduced to are soft tofu and soy milk. Most Japanese, especially those who live in eastern part of Japan (like Tokyo), eat natto every day for breakfast. Many still have miso soup with tofu and seaweed for breakfast and at dinner too. They eat soy throughout the day; for instance there might be okara (soy pulp) in lunch salad or even baked goods, also yuba skin is very popular. Japanese women still consume a lot of soy milk because soy milk is considered a "skin food" that would keep skin younger and more supple. How did they get nutritional information such as this? In Japan they have Shokuiku, which is nutrition education in public schools.
Early childhood and regular soy consumption are partly why in Japan and parts of east Asia the breast cancer rates are so low. Although recent years the rates of breast cancer in Japan is trending up due to increased dairy and meat consumption. Now when I go back to Japan I find it hard to eat out as vegan, much harder than here actually in terms of variety. For example even so-called vegetarian dishes there contain things seafood or meat stock.
so if soy lowers estrogen… can you get hair loss then?
soy is good for women.. but not for men.. i wished u had mentioned that doc..
How much soy milk then should a woman consume say per week to reap the benefits?
So if someone has ms they shouldn't eat soy, seeing as pregnant women are always in remission due to high estrogen levels during pregnancy, is that right Dr. Greger?
