One of my earliest memories of watching Unsolved Mysteries was the episode with the Queen Mary where they reenacted the group seeing apparitions playing in the pool and then leaving wet footprints poolside. Excellent episode, makes me want to visit the Queen Mary exhibit someday.
In the 90's when the Queen Mary was vacant a lot of off duty Long Beach PD would moonlight there as security. They would make the rounds & close doors only to come back later & fund them open. They'd hear knocking on pipes, splashing in the pool that had no water. As a kid I was mesmerized by the ballroom.
So, a man who spent considerable time investigating haunts and phenomena 1) couldn't get rid of the spooks harassing his family, and 2) deliberately bound one of said spooks to the property they were moving out of, leaving it there to bother subsequent occupants? That just boggles my mind, and strikes me as immoral and inconsiderate.
Also, if he was so against his daughter using the Ouija board, why didn't he just take the dang thing away while it was still unopened? Either return it to the store or toss it in the dumpster.
