Pregnancy you are meant to gain mass. Stop trying to or encourage women to lose. Maintain sure for maybe just the first trimester …but lose..no not ok for a baby. Just eat plenty of meats veg and dairy and your baby will thank you and be very well developed mentally and physically.
I’m sure during this quarantine it is to be expected that we put on a couple of extra pounds.
However, there are many who hope to lose the extra weight and possibly even more and get into shape. Luckily there are many ways to jumpstart your journey to the better, healthier you!

I'm really struggling to eat properly. I feel sick all the time. The only things that seem nice to me at the moment is toast, crumpets and mashed potato.

Girl you need magnesium!! I struggled with that and added magnesium and it was so helpful also epson salt baths!
I'm 10 weeks pregnant now and just thinking about or looking at mushrooms makes me feel sick. I used to love mushrooms.

Nice seeing Jim on for 15seconds of fame you guys are such a cute couple. Oliver is so cute wanting the watermelon. When I was pregnant with my daughter smells really bother me especially bacon. I did gain a lot of weight with her. With my son I gained the normal weight. I am so happy for you guys
Also, prune juice warmed up helps. My midwife advised me to drink that and it helped a lot. I finally go once a day! Lol. I drink it on an empty stomach in the morning to proceed with breakfast. After I eat my stomach feels like I need to go. It doesn't work when I drink it after eating.
just eat healthy and dont worry about your weight if you lose fine, if you stay the same is fine, but if you gain a little is ok. remember youre having a baby and the baby comes first… just eat healthy. ive met people that lose weight during there preg and others a little with there diet. what I'm trying to say is don't get obsessed about it
(warning: long comment lol)I used to weigh 245 and got down to 160 at my lowest. I took time off from the gym then ended up being pregnant! I'm 18 weeks today… it does cross my mind that I'm scared to gain weight. I'm sitting at 172 now.. maybe more since my last OB appointment. I started at 165-170 at the time i found out i was pregnant. I haven't been watching really what I eat but haven't gained weight. I know in the second trimester it'll speed up. My blood pressure is good and baby is growing fine. My midwife has not been concerned at all even though I'm overweight. She told me I'm fine but to try and not gain too quickly because then it'll put me at high risk. I know it's hard. I spent 3 years of my life dedicating myself to the gym, counting macros, etc. That was my life. Now my life is inside me! I know post partum I'll want to lose weight again.. luckily I know how. Also breastfeeding supposedly helps you burn a lot of calories! You don't look like you've gained weight at all. You look great! I wish I could eat healthy. It's so hard with my husband wanting to feed me things. 🙁 I need a support system. I'm trying to walk briskly on the treadmill for now. I'm getting an elliptical soon! No heavy lifting for me. I can't wait for more pregnancy updates <3

I'm on my 2nd pregnancy (2nd trimester now) My first trimester with this one i love fruit and salty….I've only gained my weight for first few months and only gained 1-2lbs in each month. i hope you feel better in the next trimester.

Are you taking iron tablets? My iron levels dropped with both my pregnancies and had to take iron supplements which constipated me so bad. Lots of Metamucil and water
I hope you can do it! It gets so hard when you get picky and you can only eat certain foods that won't make you sick. Also you will feel hungry all the time and if you don't eat enough….nausea:( I have hypo thyroid too and I had to check it every month though pregnancy make sure they monitor yours and good luck!

Okay, first you are just going to have to resolve yourself that you may gain weight in an amoiunt that you may not like. I have three daughters and 9 grandchildren, so believe me in the big picture it doesn't matter. I have been athletic my entire life. I weighed 130 when I got pregnant and I went from 130 to 220. No joke, I ate no different but I had such water retention. The following pregnancies were the same. The good news is that after I had the babies within 3 months I was back to normal. Focus on the baby and don't focus on the calorie content. You are going to be just fine.

Haha I was the same when pregnant! Bagels all day errrrryday! lol and watermelon (it was ridiculous, I live in Alberta and was paying like $8 /day for a bowl of cut watermelon cause it was winter lol) and naval oranges! Yuuummmm!

I am overweight and was overweight when I got pregnant. I ended up getting GD while pregnant and I had to watch what I ate. walked after every meal. after I had my son I was 20 pounds lighter than when I started. just eat lots of protein and veggies. limit carbs. you don't need much. lots of long long walks. no junk food. you'll lose weight in a healthy way.

Don't know if you can get it in Canada but Barilla makes a veggie dry pasta, that adds something like 1 1/2 servings of vegetables in just the pasta, may be another way to sneak in more vegetables, it tastes good, a lot like just tri-color pasta.
