I think you should be careful to tell people to train less hard or less times per week. The vast majority is seeing bad progress because they’re not putting in enough work in the gym.

We had friends and family with kids that loved life so we thought it would be like a Disney movie. Our first kid was born with an unknown seizure disorder which has financially crippled us due to medical bills and has caused him developmental delays. Our second kid was born fairly normal but has begun to act like his older brother and has begun to have issues at school. Our third kid is 2 and still can’t walk or talk. He has expensive orthotics and a walker like my great grandmother used to have. None of our family wants anything to do with our kids. We have no help at all. We can’t even imagine the idea of having kids being considered easy.

What’s the big 5 lifts he references?
I use to train 2x a day (lift and BJJ) and work 50hrs a week and I had a daughter a year ago and she has made me slow down and keep time to relax and that has me now doing 2-3x BJJ a week a 3-4x lifts a week and im sleeping more and I feel so much better. More doesnt mean better.
Bro too much intensity NEVER seems to be the issue when I look around the gym. People are sandbagging themselves all the time lol
