The host interrupted too much !!!!
i would not listen to this interviewer again.his rude interruptions are just too much.
Some hosts have a habit of constantly interrupting and talking over their guests' words and letting the guest finish a sentence. This deprives the viewers benefitting from guests' knowledge.

Love Dr. Lustig's energy and courage in facing down the industrial food industry- he has taught me so muc. But I hope Dr. Lustig will begin to include data on hormone deficiencies in women to describe the fat shift from subcutaneous to visceral in women with the loss of estrogen through ovarian senescence from a physiologically healthy level to zero. Sleep, bone, brain deprivation equals severe stress to the body.
I call upon ALL Endocrinologists and Nutritionists to publicly back up Dr.Lustig's message.
It is an absolute travesty that Dr. Lustig is not on our TV's, cell phones and lap-tops 24/7 x 365 – presenting his science for the betterment of our own health and the over-stressed healthcare system – world wide. A huge problem as he stated because it requires political and public fortitude to bring about change when tackling the money motives of food companies.
But correct me if I'm wrong – but surely the role of HFCSyrup and the removal of fibre in creating the metabolic health crisis needs to be on every billboard and every ad-break until it is as well known as the national anthem.
I was born in the early 60's, so I am fortunate enough to remember real food and a time where obesity was rare. I am a nurse – have been since the mid '80's – I have seen professionally the almost exponential increase in BMI and increased prevalence of Type 2 diabetes. So if I can see it as a professional observer, then why is the medical dietary advice so wrong in blaming the calorie, rather than the processed diet that leads to hyperinsulinaemia?
Since Dr. Lustig, as a paediatric endocrinologist, has seen obese infants – where such condition can never be attributed to the infant's "lifestyle" – and has explanations for this in his book Fat Chance – where is the public support from his endocrinology peers?
So, if I "stumbled" across Dr. Lustig's no-brainer message on You Tube, it was because I have been interested in the phenomenon for 35 years. It follows that there are so many that would never stumble across his wisdom, if they are not researching health-related topics. So I return to "The Travesty" – THIS STUFF NEEDS TO BE OUT THERE AND IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S PSYCHE.
All the best in your mission Dr Lustig.
UGH! wanted to watch but Sachs wouldn't shut up! Can't take it, bye
So interesting about the leptin not working!
Incredible! What a (sweet) treat. Jeffrey Sachs is here, what a joy to see and listen to both of you simultaneously.
Professor Sachs, this may seem a little 'out there' but I've been considering whether metabolic dysfunction's effects on the brain may be partially responsible for some of the insanity in our country's so-called 'leaders'.
I think the comments criticizing Professor Sachs are misplaced. Jeffrey Sachs is a polymath. He is having a conversation (note the title) with Dr. Lustig in order to give him a wider audience than simply those of us who have been interested in metabolic health for a long time and are already educated on the subject. I would bet that those who want Dr. Lustig to expound at length without interruption or clarification would have much to learn from Prof. Sachs on economics and geopolitics. Following him in other venues might engender more respect. If you're already well versed in metabolic health information, there are plenty of other videos for listening to Dr. Lustig uninterrupted, while this one may help those who need to be introduced to the basic concepts.
Great to see two of my favorite people in communication! I didn't realize, but am not surprised, that Professor Sachs is interested in metabolic health.
What a terrible host. He needs to shut his mouth and stop interrupting.
BPA and phthalates are procued in megatonnes every year and wére exposed to them in degrading soft plastics and adhesives which are used everwhere. Everything has a sticky label and therefore bpa epoxy resin.
I just purchsed Dr. Robert H. Lustig's book METABOLICAL and liked it so much, I read the 384 page book in two days. Chapter 9 was my favorite chapter. I also got his other best-seller, FAT CHANCE. Another book I purchased is LIES MY DOCTOR TOLD ME by Ken D. Berry, MD, FAAFP. I have been on ketogenic lifestyle and One Meal A Day Intermittent Fasting since 6/2022. That's why I bought these books. Also, if you are concerned about your elevated cholesterol and LDL-C, these books are a must-read that will put your mind at ease.
The host should shut up, zip it
Absolutely appreciate Dr. Lusting. He possesses a most important gift….being able to communicate things simply. In doing so, his voice is carrying far and wide, and making the necessary impact to dismantle the lies that have held so many of us prisoners to our appetites and disease processes.
