Kicking in jail is ruthless. It's waaay worse than the flu. By miles.

I thought it would be a good idea to do a crime and go to jail for the sole reason to detox off my mental health medications and find my head. Because there was no help anywhere else. Wasted 12 months of my life and came out worse. I am now a Muslim. I am clean from all, except green but I'm working on that as we speak.

You shouldn't punish someone for being an addict by withholding meds. Nobody wants to be an addict.

Since saying 2005 if you arnt given appropriate meds for opioid addiction (methadone/subs) you can sue the prison. Heroin addiction has been classed as a disease by the world health association

Everyone's acts like every opioid epidemic is something that accidentally happens in America!!! The VAST majority of Fetynal or Heroine that comes into America is brought into America by out Government CIA or people connected or employed by our politicians. This is being done on purpose to innocent Americans and rich elite are making millions of dollars to buy weapons and fund war. If America did not want opiates in this country it would not be here. The war in Afghanistan America could've destroyed billions of dollars worth of poppy fields while we occupied Afghanistan but didnt. You can go on YT and watch conveys of America military vehicles driving through Afghanistan through thousands of acers of poppy fields. When the taliban gained control in aresa in the middle east they took over poppy fields and began burning them they wanted America and out corruption out of their country we soon went to war!!!

The flu symptoms arent even close to the worst part of withdrawal. It's the endless loop of memories of every hurt, failure, fear and regret that feel like you're experiencing it all for the first time, exacerbated even more by the fact that you cant sleep even for a minute for well over a week. I was diagnosed with ptsd from some of the worst withdrawals. Clean since January 6, 2014.

Opioid addiction actually destroyed my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder, got diagnosed with OCD. Spent my whole life fighting OCD. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I was addicted to opiates then I took saboxin to get rid of addiction and honestly you still get the same high if not higher and you then get addicted to saboxin. So i stopped them and just went cold turkey lol due to being locked up for 17 days but I tell you it was worth it because I never took them again

Ppl have hung themselves in the jail I was in because there was no help 4 withdrawal until he did that and then they decided to give Tylenol 3 and Klonopin. Which was the wrong thing to give people don't care about other people all they care about is money when she realized this things look a lot clearer everyone's on their own especially in jail

The Prison Nurse is clueless, only concerned with money, saying they'll do it now because of law suites. Her own obvious addiction to other issues is out there for all to see & Im guessing she'll never care for anyone if she can't even care for herself. Prisons need fresh staff with fresh minds

Makes me sick how if you get in trouble to take your medication away for addiction? Makes zero sense. On top of when they get out of jail they have a way higher rate of overdosing because they’ve been without the drug. None of it makes sense to me.

Suboxone is not a magic pill. Suboxone is an opiate. You're literally trading one for the other. It's more controlled and much safer. Suboxone withdrawal is no walk in the park. What percentage of people treated with Suboxone remain on Suboxone for the rest of their lives?

It’s NOT like a bad flu or food poisoning… I really dislike those comparisons. That same woman says they treat symptoms? Imodium? Jesus. Looks like she has a food addiction. I was addicted 5 years, got into treatment and am 7 years clean.

When they say it’s like the flu…kind of but not quite I mean maybe but the psychological side of withdrawal makes it what it is, I will take the flu without the psychological effects of withdrawal any day. The sheer anxiety, depression, feeling like you are going to crawl out of your skin, the crying, the lack of energy, the shame, regret, the cravings! I would have dreams about cereal bowls full of pills when I went cold turkey from prescription opiates daily for 14 years! Methadone pills was the last of what my doctor prescribed, a huge dose and Valium (yeah great mix I know) and I was on a high dose of both, and I ran out, I was so exhausted of constantly chasing more and more because I always ran out early from taking way more than prescribed, I said I’m done. I called my doctor and he called me in a low dose of morphine and some blood pressure meds, I took 3 of the morphine pills on day 4 of withdrawal from methadone and Valium and then flushed them all. I was literally sick and depressed for well over a month, the doctor said methadone stores in fat cells so it’s harder to detox out of the body, it took at least 30 days before I felt any clarity. By 6 months out I had lost 60 pounds (I gained so much weight on methadone) and started seeing a counselor, and I never looked back, that was back in 2010. I did dream about the pills though for a while, the counselor helped me get over that weird connection to the addiction. It’s a lifelong journey but it’s worth it

Putting someone in jail to withdrawal is pure evil. Period. Anyone who would do that to a human being shouldn't be allowed to go on breathing. Pure evil

Didn't sleep f9r 15 days on 120 mg methadone. Jail gave me Gatorade that was all. Then it took another month to feel better. Unfortunately i still taken methadone and it sucks.

Never knew kratom hit your opiate receptors .. got hooked on it without even knowing it before it was too late ..tried quitting multiple times .. went 8 days without sleeping .. body aches .. trying to work a full time job .. having to a father .. tried so many times .. then I actually got help .. luckily kratom barely latched onto your receptors so by simply taking 2mg of suboxone once a day .. I felt normal .. tapered down over a month then bam .. it was gone .. went to AA meetings .. met some people .. life changing

I’m finally a good husband and father.
    A good son
    A good worker

    Keep pushing everyone
