But sugar is the number one fuel source for muscle growth and recovery
I wish I knew this information before I had kids 25 and 20 years ago, especially with my twins. I also have a kid with type 1 diabetes who loves her processed carbs. At 20, she is finally incorporating more protein into her meals. Going to listen to this one many times.

32:00 I was just wondering about intermittent fasting and the significance of what you use to break it a few days ago. I was coming out of one really hungry and didn't want to wait for my healthy meal to finish cooking so I tided myself with a bit of chocolate or something.
I don't remember how or if it really affected my day, but I'll be a bit more conscious from now on.

I have 3 eggs with sliced mushrooms mixed in alongside a bowl of 1 cup of organic oats and a scoop of whey every morning. I'm curious to know if I should ditch the oats/whey for like half an avocado and a half of a chicken breast or a lean beef patty. I suppose I'll tinker and see how it goes..
I was told that my diet was clean enough that a probiotic wouldn’t be very beneficial for me…..

Very good episode. I have been practicing long time the idea that i can play around my blood sugar to get insulin to transport glucose and aminos together into muscles.. But the though process bigger your muscles more sensitivity to insulin you have and better muscle grow same time you have đŸ™‚

I wish I could get my mother-in-law to watch your video! She is a type 2 diabetic and she hardly eats any protein. She is 70 and really doesn’t understand the massive amount of new research and changes in recommendations that have occurred since she was diagnosed 15 years ago.

Why is she throwing shade at pizza? I never had a problem with pizza. Not when it is piled high with sausage, ham, and pepperoni. Not sure how that would spike blood sugar. Can see how something that is only bread and tomato sauce would.
