In 8 mths with a coach I gained 1 lb of muscle and 5 lbs of fat. I was very unhappy with this amount of muscle gain. She said since I’m not a newbie I should expect 1-3 lbs of muscle per year. Especially the fact that I’m 5’2, 122 lbs after my bulk and 46 year old female. I’m very frustrated. I’m also eating 160 gms of protein which is a lot but her take is as a women gets older we need more protein. I’d love to hear your feedback and which of your programs you recommend.
Brilliant episode and so much information. Thank you from a newbie in the world of cutting and bulking. This has been so heloful.
I love these conversations with women in mind about building muscle mass. Please keep it coming, especially ways to overcome the mental hurdles of gaining size. Would it be possible to hear the journeys of some of your female clients who have gone through and come out on the other side, the ups, downs and in between? Thanks
23:30 this is a great strategy for average Joe dad like me. Thanks
As a short woman who has always been athletic, I'm curious to know what other women my size are doing. I am back in the gym after 3 years of being fairly sedentary and am gaining strength pretty fast. What is considered a decent amount of muscle mass for a 5'0 female? Your female trainer is 125-130lbs but is that a reasonable expectation for your average short female? I consider myself stronger than average but I'm about 105lbs now. I know it's not always beneficial to compare but there are very few women my size in the gym, heck there are very few women who lift heavy in the gym, and those who do are much bigger/taller than me.
Why does Sal sound so different? Lol
What is too much cardio? I am currently clean bulking and once a week I play some fun friendly competitive co ed soccer. It’s so fun and I have a blast every time but everytime I’m done I feel guilty because I can’t help but feel like it’s messing up my gains
Question: I’m 42 have 31% of body fat I’m 140lbs. I lift 5xwk. Should I do a bulk or try to lose weight first?
Thank you so much for this.
Best podcasts with the most information.
I've never been overweight and done mostly cardio, this topic has exactly been the most difficult part in my weightlifting
sled push, battle ropes and walking
Nice practical tips in this one. A lot of channels go way too much into theory crafting without much applicable info.
I love my calisthenics and mobility training programs. Gives me massive energy and i feel great. Also lots of fun. Is it possible to clean bulk on this kind program?

Sucks my newbie gains despite strength gains and gaining slight pounds means my full potential gains aren't gonna be very big.

Who's the guy in the thumbnail?
The algorithm has to be messed up for you guys. This low of views with this quality of info is crazy.
Do these guys do personal training still? Not during the training, just feedback and insight specific to you
Anyone else watching this while eating?
These podcasts have way too few views…so much valuable info.
What do you mean by 20 rep squats just what it sounds like ?
That’s what’s up man
Here’s a topic maybe you guys can touch on, overcoming gym anxiety and going to the gym for the first time. What to expect, should you get a trainer, how to find a quality trainer, what weight to start with. I’m almost 35, never been to the gym and the idea of it is a little overwhelming
