iodeto de potássio
150 mcg daily for pregnant / pregnancy preparation.
Everybody has bind spots. Dr. Greger is no exception.
The healthiest, longest lived people in the world (Okinawans who eat their traditional diet)
eat seaweed at EVERY MEAL and are estimated to get 200 mg of iodine every day of their adult lives.
"In 1964, the Nutrition Section of Japan’s Bureau of Public Health
found that people in Japan
consumed a daily average of 4.5 g of seaweed with measured iodine content of 3.1 mg/g, or
13.8 mg of iodine."
Life expectancy in Japan is 81.25 years, compared to 77.85
years in the U.S.
Infant mortality rate in Japan is the lowest in the
world, 3.5 deaths under age 1 per 1,000 live births,
half the infant mortality rate in the United States.

Is it okay to intake iodine 3mg(3000 micorogram) during pregnancy daily??:)
Is Salt really that bad? Maybe its because 98% of us don't enough enough potassium?
Just don't get too much. That's the danger with kelp or kombu. Kombu is off the charts. The thyroid is delicate.
Dear Dr. Gregor, could you do a follow-up explaining why the body secretes 125ug of a substance it's deficient in?
Please debunk that this is not another scheme of Big Supplement to make our pee expensive.
(that's microgram, I don't know how to type a mu)
When food contains sodium like bread for example, does that contain iodine?
Would love for you to do an episode on apricot seeds! Curious if they are what a lot of people are saying they are.thanks
Do your series on fasting pls. really looking forward to this one
iodised table salt? for real? that gross stuff containing nothing but the substance salt, chemically produced? i prefer not to! just eat some fish or take supplements. Even though I personally would never supplement iodine again.
small amounts of iodine, like a single fortified can of beans or a pinch of seaweed, give me intolerable tiredness, followed by two extra hours of sleep at night and bad fatigue throughout the next day. i am not touching this shit until i get a convincing explanation along with proof for how that could possibly be a good thing. i've heard some weird theories about bromide detox but have not seen evidence and too much debate about it. i am not convinced of needing iodine at all. i do NOT have an enlarged thyroid, my energy is only mediocre but there are much better explanations for this, than thyroid issues. like burned out adreenals, acidity, coffee abuse and being a dreamy personality type. am sick of industries talking me into needing shit in a package.
Is it the sodium or the chloride that is responsible for health problem ?
Nascent(atomic) iodine is the best way to supplement with iodine unless you already consume a lot of sea vegetables/sea greens. There are articles and videos saying pregnant women who took nascent iodine resulted in their babies being naturally much more intelligent than the previous children which is probably something to do with fluoride as iodine is known to destroy and remove fluoride from the brain/body and fluoride has been proven to lower IQ and cause all sorts of problems in the body.
I just got back from the doctor and he said my test tested positive for fructose. So I have fructose intolerance. So fructose is the reason of my bloating! But I love fruuuitssss!!!!
I would never recommend to take iodine from supplements, it's isolated poison. Eat some seaweed or seaweed powder and test your urin sometimes.
so if not eating enough fruit is the leading cause of death, what about people who are on whole food starch based diets, with little fruit? What about the okinawans who are one of the longest lived populations and who eat practically no fruits, but lots of whole starchy plant foods?
I finally finished How Not to Die on audio and it was everything and more I could dream of. I loved it so much I had to buy a hard copy so I can mark my favorite areas as well as lend it to my family! The science is so concrete I find it so hard to understand how other people CHOOSE to disregard it because they think it's too much work and that meat tastes so good! I have wanted flax seed meal with my oatmeal every day while listening to this book and am starting to make a concious effort to eat better (I was sort of a junk food vegan for the most of my vegan journey). Thanks for this channel, website, and now book.
Lugol's Iodine is by far the best form of iodine to take.
Yey, first, i know no1 cares but it made my day a little better so don't judge 🙁
