Maybe a silly question but what do you put the Halogen bulb into? Google isn't helping. I'm talking about the unit the lightbulb goes into. Arcadia isn't making the halogen bulbs anymore due to Energy Saving regulations in the US, so their website doesn't help either.
I’m currently working on building my leopard gecko a new 4x2x2, her current setup is only slightly smaller and it is cluttered like crazy, so I plan on doing the same for the new enclosure. For this new one I’m also adding half slate half loose substrate (a topsoil and play sand mix) and I’m really excited. I was super into your video but my guy just passed from mouth rot.
We went to the vet, he was on antibiotics and critical care food and was doing better.
But he declined very quickly after stopping the antibiotics..the vet said that could happen
Now I'm torn between you knowing what's best or if I need to just go to a gecko school to learn all things about geckos.
I'm not being rude, I just need the best everything if I plan to get another gecko and I thought this was it but, mouth rot wasn't mentioned.

I got him help he needed within a week of him not eating.
When we went to the vrt he was 62grams by the time he passed which was a 12 day window, he was 40 grams, that's with eating the critical care food .
Was he misdiagnosed?

I watched up until 12mins agreeing with all, and then it was mentioned that they "require" UVB lighting, which is simply incorrect. If you're south facing natural light is plenty for their health. I stopped listening after that point to write this grinchy comment, then left.
