Great contribution to society!!
8: "endocrine disruptor" No mention of "Diethylstilbestrol" let alone dietary staples before Pharmcorp Farms convinced the Meat industries the products sold would be "safe/better" for their animals & families. The question becomes how can protein consumption be adequately & sustainably supplied in the current markets, to be profitable because life saving isn't enough for "producers"… since family farming is no longer the focus
If I get enough land to garden I think I should start with cruciferous vegetables (Glucosinolates) like broccoli, beans (short-chain fatty acids that boost vitamin absorption; tempeh), Jerusalem Artichokes a.k.a. Sunchokes (inulin <bifidus factor> fiber), Blueberries, corn (grits/polenta), cabbage (kimchee/sauerkraut heals GI & boosts immune function) and Organic Bananas as long as they exist… Put that in your indoor potager cold climate farmers!
Well, what can I say? I hit my first period with 11.5 years! Awkward U_u
this video is bunch of crap and danger to children…. give your kids alot meat, preferabely steamed cow or chicken or fish…. protein, vitamin b,creatine and omega in fish
Bel video!
Not much, less than half of an egg per day.
i did, but i'm pretty sure u still need to get some from your diet. how much idk.
How about the bovine growth hormones given to cows???
Actual controversy is about unlabeled or mislabeled soy additive, which hurts people with soy protein allergies and GMO (silly, I know – unless it's pesticide-ready modification, it should be safe).
You mean about phytoestrogens or what?
Your body can make cholesterol by itself, did you now that?
i hit puberty when i was only 14-15 and i'm a guy. ate alot of meat and dairy. too bad wish i knew this earlier
He's addressed soy and how much intake and what types is good in other videos. He tries to keep his videos pretty short, so it wouldn't really make sense to go off on that type of tangent every time that anything remotely related to it comes up.
Cholesterol free eggs? i didn't even know such a thing existed… keep in mind though that body needs cholesterol. From what i know cholesterol in and of itself isn't bad (it is actually essential to the body) but instead the LDL which are cholesterol transporters are bad. If you're interested in this kind of stuff i'd do a google search for Dr. Chris Masterjohn.
Soy has been getting a lambasting lately and here you kind of promote its consumption… i wish you would have addressed the soy controversy in this video. From what i know only fermented soy is what people should be eating. Perhaps this is the kind of soy that Dr. Greger is referring to but i don't know.
This is such an important but under talked about topic even in the vegan health community. It also has many social/societal constructs tied to it as well. If children didn't go through puberty as early their would be less unwanted teen pregnancies and pressures on both sexes but mostly females to try to live at some ungodly standard. Thank you much for making this Dr. Greger!
