All great references! To research individual topics a great website by Dr. Greger is nutritionfacts.org. You can search over 2000 topics. He digs deep into the funding behind studies. When I worked for an MD he offered the staff a free physical every year. When he saw my labs he was always envious. A simple recipe for a filling flatbread I love to eat as a wrap for cooked greens: Soak 3/4 cup rice and 1/3 cup mung dal in 1 cup water for 12 hours, then grind in a blender to a paste. Let sit another 12 hours to ferment, or just a couple of hours. Meanwhile sauté 1/2 medium onion and a little garlic with salt until caramelized. Add to the batter and fry on a skillet with oil. If you cover they cook quicker. Love that you’re vegan.

I hope you will remove the Eric Berg video from one of your playlists. I do not trust his advice. The plant-based diet is the only one scientifically proven to reverse heart disease and other common chronic diseases.

please consider watching the vegan deterioration channel. I was vegan for almost 20 years, it caused a lot of premature aging, chronic fatigue and dental problems. I switched to Keto this year, the first thing I noticed was plumper skin and thicker shinierr hair, over time my eyesight and energy improved too as well as less brain fog.

Hi Beth, I would love to see a series on different recipes. I have been eating plant based and juicing to try and keep my health. I'm with you, I want to prevent illness. My husband and father both passed away from cancer.

Wow didn't know statins do that! My hubby takes them, and gets Charlie horses often. I always feel so bad for him because he seems to be in terrible pain. Thanks Beth.

I had severe joint pain for years. Within a few days of starting a keto carnivore diet all my joint pain went away. Then a year ago I tried the vegan/McDougall herbivore diet the pain immediately came back twofold. So I decided to go 100% raw and that didn't help whatsoever unfortunately. I did give the vegan diet a month, the starch diet a month and the raw diet only lasted two weeks as the pain was intolerable. My doctor asked what diet changes did I make because not only did my pain suddenly return but I gained almost 15 pounds or a little more than a stone. My doctor advised me to go back to the keto diet so I did and the pain was totally gone in just a few days and within a few months I was back to my healthy weight of 165 pounds or just under 12 stones. So the way I see it, some diets/lifestyles work better for some and other diets may be better for others. Just depends I guess.

Good for you, Beth! The research is very clear that a plant-based diet can prevent and even reverse disease, not to mention lessen animal suffering. My sister is living proof and her doctors are still skeptical 😉 I would love to see more videos about what you eat.

If you were eating burgers with bread, you were not eating Paleo. Paleo has no refined grains. Carbs and sugars feed cancer; if you are increasing carbs it's bad for your health, your insulin levels, and your immune system. High-carb diets also make cholesterol problems worse. A ketogenic diet starves cancer, lowers insulin, improves cholesterol ratios and reduces auto-immune symptoms. I have an auto-immune illness, so I know first-hand. I think you're courting disaster by going vegan, but I like your videos and I wish you the best of luck.

The issue with this is food is not always medicine for someone with a histamine and Mast Cell Disease. Vegetables also have histamines and can be dangerous to our health with this very challenging disease.

I've been a vegetarian for several years now. I do eat fish (when I go out( and free range(not free run) eggs. I was motivated by the cognitive dissonance I felt eating meat. I enjoyed it but not the thought that I was supporting the factory farming industry,. Lately I've been very intrigued by High Carb Hannah's youtube channel. She's an inspiring, honest, down to earth chick, and I'm trying her free recipes as I slowly transition to High Carb Low Fat. Thanks as always for your videos, you are truly beautiful inside and out!
