I am insulin dependent everything they discussed is 100 % on point. People have NO CLUE how valuable walking is. I walk post meals and need less insulin and the insulin I do give works like wildfire. It's amazing and it stimulates the peristalsis so it's not just sitting there. Low impact relaxing walking is my magic trick a1c 5.0 average glucose 90 and I haven't made insulin myself in 28 years.

been driving a semi for 11 years now, 12 years ago was 186 pounds, ran 3 miles a day, now 315 pounds, work 14 hours a day, only get excercise one day a week when im home on my one day off, just miserable

I've used a fasted 30-minute walk and a 15-minute walk after each meal with 4 days of strength training to lose 220 pounds in 2 years. I went from 480 lbs to 260 lbs. Was 69% body fat to 34% body fat. I do 2 weeks of 2500 calories, 1 week of 3000 calories and 1 week of 2000 calories. I also prioritize protein by eating 250g of protein a day with half gallons of water. I've been doing the big 5 lifts plus weighted carry exercises 7 weeks.

4. Front n back squats
5. Barbell n dumbell overhead press
6. Traditional n sumo dead lift
7. Barbell n dumbell Bent over rows
8. Wide n close grip Incline bench.
7 weeks and feel so much stronger and feel amazing.

You guys never talk about the importance of vo2 max. You never discuss the aerobic issues around heart health. Walking is great but over all health is more than just protein and walking. Holistic health is a better conversation.
