The science behind this is within that chemical when you water the water carries out the pesticide into the roots and the plant takes it up, the plant becomes toxic to the trips making it completely inhabitable for the pest
I just wipe my leaves with milk and it works
Gotta learn to live with and manage the bugs killing them only worsens your environment and actually makes your plants weaker and more prone to rot and diseases

Bonide brand systemic for starters in soil. Neem or Captain Jack's saturating all leaf areas

Try using a bacteria called spinosad
The product is called Substral Celaflor Careo Pest Free Combi Sticks, 2-in-1: Plant Protection and Fertiliser Function. It also comes in spray from. Easily available in Germany. In USA and other places i doubt. It’s a German brand found locally. Very effective. Alternatively, you can use sachets of predators to control Thrips . Insecticidal soap is also another way. Mix 1tsp mild liquid soap to 1liter water and clean the leaves. Soap kills thrips on contact. Hope you can save your plant. Good luck.

I have thrips 🙁 but I have two problems
Lots of my plants are in semihydro (using Leca and seramis) and or selfwatering pots (like the lechuza kind)
If I want to put these sticks in my self watering pots, do I put the stick in the water reservoir? or in the soil? I could water from the top, but most of the water to dilute the stick is on the reservoir… what do I do?
And then for the semihidro in leca, any idea how to use the sticks?

No way!!!!!!!!! I got rid of my lovely monstera plant because i gave up the battle with thrips. Can you tell me what that product called? Neem oil doesnt works at all. I hate people who claimed it works.
