A lot of people are carnivore diet tend to avoid root vegetables, and leafy greens because of the carbs, and the defense chemicals the plants evolved to make animals get inflamation, and insulin resistance if eaten. Although, friends of mine on keto, and the majority of experts seem to think sweet potatoes are the lesser of evils. So, I substitute potatoes, carrots, and most root vegitables for sweet potatoes. They're even supported by anthropologists who did an anthropology film about a tribe living on nothing, but them called Dani Sweet Potato.

Glad to see what is working for you now. Some say to get ideas what your ancestors did. I know mine went out all day for physical activity and came back home at dusk to eat.

This is a healthy meal, but it could be even less inflammatory. The apple and white potatoes are a little high in terms of glycemic index (GI). I would replace them with lower GI options, like berries and sweet potatos. High GI food causes inflammation.

Also, saturated fat is inflammatory, and coconut oil has some saturated fat. I would replace the coconut oil with olive oil. However, coconut oil is way better than butter.

Again, Frankie's meal is healthy overall.

Going carnivore is the only thing that has treated my autoimmune symptoms and sugar addiction. I'm not sure what to transition into because I also have oxalate toxicity. I actully have sharp jagged oxalate crystals coming out of my skin and other oxalate dumping symptoms so, eating low oxalate is a must.

If you’re struggling with potatoes, look up food combining. Don’t combine protein and starch. Eat fruit alone on an empty stomach. Game changer for digestion

Who wouldn've thought that the best diet is a regular human diet consisted in animal foods, starches and fruits

  • @tigim101 says:
    November 10, 2024 at 4:06 pm

And also, its actually hilarious that meat potatoes and apples are a good starting point for your diet lol… I guess the biggest difference between this and your average person is that the food quality is low. Seems like if you up the food quality you can eat a pretty "regular" diet and be ok, just cut out high amounts of processed sugar and veg oils. Eat organic meats and starches, cut out high anti nutrient veggies, throw in some raw milk and wild caught fish every now and then, and you should be alright.

If you want to do white rice instead of potatoes what minerals should you supplement?

  • @HellenicWolf says:

Frank, I have stomach and gut motility issues too, and I've seen that potatoes when boiled and then cooled, are a bit gentler on the stomach than those on the pan. Also good salt makes a difference in how we digest things. I have to ask: Do you use black pepper? I have gastritis and I'm a bit afraid of using it? How do you fair with it?

Alot of what you say is accurate but you need to research more on plant structure and reasons for the design.
Plants store many phytochemicals in their peel in order to protect or preserve their continuum.
    All good though.
Organic potato peel is high in potassium.

FRANKY. Please explain why it is that if you "over cook potatoes" it is a problem. since watching you, whenever I eat potatoes, I usually just boil the crap out of them (in my mind getting rid of of nutriets and "anti-nutriets") But is it possible im OVER DOING IT? Again, pretty much any starch im eating i cook the living crap out of…
